Employability Skills Training is offered as the first level of professional development to ensure candidates meet the qualifications for training and employment in the hospitality industry. The KPS workforce clients with the interest, proper background, skills, and attitude qualify for Service Excellence Training as a prerequisite for further hospitality skills training. The Employability Skills Training is a three week program. Employability Skills Training Includes (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Introduction to Business Culture (Hospitality and Service Industries)
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills Development
  • Conflict Resolution/Critical Thinking
  • Attitude and the Professional Image
  • Strategies for Success in Today’s Job Markets (Work Ethic)
  • Computer Technology and the Job Market
  • Resume Development

Our training in “Service Excellence” focuses on teaching the workforce to anticipate guest needs by using a proactive approach to customer service through conflict resolution. The learning objective is derived from the LEARN Model (Listen, Empathize, Alert, React, and Notify). In addition to customer service training, we offer Food Service and Housekeeping Training Programs.
